Time for an update, May Version

I suppose it is time for an update 🙂

Things are progressing, I’m in a ‘long stage’ part of the work, getting some of the detail cleaned up, going through my tech learning curve as I continue to learn the capabilities of what is already built, building that gap analysis between what I have and what I need.

The friend I tapped to help with the business management side has been doing some litmus testing out in the field (in Houston, TX) and is getting some tremendous response.

My next steps, for this week, is to put aside the technical detail work on the website for now (although I’ll still probably poke around with it as I sit in bed) and get more of the idea down on paper in the form of marketing materials and a formal business plan. I’ll be working on wireframes too, to assist with the logical flow of the program.

I am also, with my wife, going to try and get to the library this week and get our new library cards, and also inquire about our local community organizations to start getting my face out there.

Funding is becoming tight (as you can see). At this point, my GoFundMe page is the only source of funding I have been seeking for What2Do.Live. Personal funds are just as tight. I march forward with this project. But as things become tighter and tighter, I will be (as I already started) looking for other full time employment, which is something that would take a substantial amount of time away from the development of What2Do.Live. I firmly believe in the idea, there are some good people behind me volunteering in the background, and I want to be able to pay them for their time, they deserve it. But, I can’t do that without the support of the community.

So I am going to be looking for some type of incentive deals if you donate. I have one generous friend that has donated, thank you (a personal thank you coming soon). So here is what I can offer at this point.

If you donate $20 or more, you will get a free @what2do.live email account, accessible via POP/IMAP/Web securely for as long as the company is in business* (*conditions apply, please visit https://what2do.live/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=11:donation-promotion-email-account-terms&catid=9:what2do-live for more information). That’s all I have at the moment, but there are additional ideas on the table for those that would like to donate $5 and those people that may be able to donate $1,000. I’m just working out the logistics of such.

Thanks all!
